Welcome to the Microfinance in NAD-Nias Portal

In NAD-Nias, several organizations are working on similar microfinance projects. To pinpoint gaps, avoid overlapping of projects, create transparency and ensure the alignment of projects, effective coordination is important. To enhance the coordination, the Indonesian Central Bank (Bank Indonesia, BI) together with other microfinance stakeholders, met regularly in so-called Donor Coordination Meetings between 2006 to 2008. Among these stakeholders it was decided to set up a website on microfinance in NAD-Nias to serve as an internet portal. The main purpose is to provide stakeholders active in microfinance in NAD - Nias a platform to present their projects and to facilitate communication and exchange of information between them.
