In NAD-Nias, several organizations are working on similar microfinance projects. To pinpoint gaps, avoid overlapping of projects, create transparency and ensure the alignment of projects, effective coordination is important. To enhance the coordination, the Indonesian Central Bank (Bank Indonesia) together with other microfinance stakeholders, meet once a month in so-called Donor Coordination Meetings. In one of these meetings it was decided to set up a website on microfinance in NAD-Nias. This website will serve as an internet platform/portal for microfinance stakeholders in NAD-Nias. The main purpose of the platform is to present every organization with its projects and to facilitate communication and exchange of information between the donors.
